Owner and teacher, Leia Stathakos, demonstrating 'Tree pose,' Vrksasana. A slightly leaning tree, I guess there was a slight wind gust. Striving to achieve balance is fundamental to all aspects of the yoga tradition. You may wobble when you first try it but with time and practice your ankles and legs strengthen and your balance improves. Tree pose also stretches your body from your toes to your head and arms, tones the muscles of your legs, lifts your spine, and straightens your back.
Leia enjoying 'Warrior I' pose, Virabhadrasana, a very dynamic and strengthening pose. It is recommeneded for its efficacy in relieving stiffness in the back, shoulders, and neck.
